Costa Rica February 7 with Zeal

Partnering with Christ for the City International https://cfci.org/countries/costa-rica/)  CFCI works in Costa Rica to bring the message of Christ to the impoverished slums of undocumented Nicaraguans, to the women and young girls who are targets for sex trafficking, to the homeless, to the children and youth who need Godly role models, to the AIDS victims, and to so many other who are in desperate need of the hope of Jesus Christ.

Our work will consist of children’s ministries in some of the slums, including serving meals.  Working in the women’s recovery home – doing Bible teaching, crafts, etc.   We will also have the opportunity to teach sewing classes, and providing disaster relief.   The focus would not be medical clinics, but if we have a team of medical professionals, there are places we can connect with to provide that service.   We would also be ministering to brothel workers and participating in church services.

The scope of our work is being discussed with CFCI and will likely focus on ministry to youth through a soccer clinic, ESL classes, VBS and other activities to support children in their spiritual identity and growth. Please contact the team leader if you are interested in this trip.
